Sai Dhyan Mandir

Shri Sai Paduka Pooja

 

With blessing fromSadhguru Sai Baba and our Guruji, Sai Dhyan Mandir is starting Shri Sai Paduka Pooja to be held at 108 devotee homes. The Sai Paduka Pooja is considered to be an act of gratitude and devotion towards Baba. It is a simple yet powerful ritual that can be performed by anyone. This pooja is believed to bring peace, prosperity, and good fortune into the lives of those who perform it. By performing this pooja, you can seek the blessing of Sai Baba and receive his divine grace and guidance in all aspects of your life.


Sai Dhyan Mandir is providing this wonderful seva free of cost along with the temple priest who will be conducting the pooja. Temple volunteers will work with you closely to support this initiative and to help you prepare for the pooja.  


Don’t miss this golden opportunity to invite Sai Baba’s Padukas from the temple to your home for a two-hour spiritual and soulful experience by their auspicious presence. Gather your friends and family to participate in this journey to raise awareness of Sai Baba and help with finding a new home in the east valley.

Shri Sai Paduka Pooja Program Details:

 

  1. Upon confirmation of your slot, Mandir Volunteer will send detailed instructions on Whatsapp and follow through until the day of the pooja.If for any reason, you would like to change/cancel your slot, please reach the volunteers immediately or call the temple number. There are a lot of volunteers coordinating activities and spending their valuable time for this spiritual program.
  2. Temple volunteers will arrive 15 mins prior to the start of the pooja and set up the audio system and ensure all other items are available.
  3. Volunteers will discuss how the Palki can be brought and placed inside, and assess the area for the audio system and pooja setup.
  4. Host can complete background decoration and mantap setup earlier in the day. If assistance is needed, reach out to the volunteer a few days before.
  5. Once the Priest arrives, he will guide on performing rituals of welcoming Baba into the house. Host can do choose their preference. Do let the volunteer know. If you don’t have any, the process will start with pouring some water in front of the Palki to clean the area and then Priest will guide with arati using camphor over a whole coconut and then breaking the coconut. You can invite Baba to your Home with Melam, Music, Keerthans.
  6. Palki sewa can be done upon arrival or after the pooja. If done after the pooja, for morning pooja, the sewa can be done after the arati and for evening pooja, the Palki sewa should be done before the arati. 
  7. Bhajan will follow after the Pooja. Family members can also sing.
  8. After Bhajan, temple coordinator will share the temple’s plans.
  9. Aarthi will be performed at the end of the program. All devotees will get an opportunity to perform the Aarthi.
  10. After Aarthi, Volunteers will pack all items except the Mantap area. Another volunteer will pickup the items prior to the next event. For morning pooja, the Palki will be picked up by 4:30pm. For evening pooja, it will be picked up 10am the next morning. If you need it picked up soon after the pooja, let the volunteer know.
  11. Prasadam can be served to devotees at this time. 
  12. The total temple volunteers attending will be no more than 4-5 members.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Phase II pooja program will begin on March 24, 2024 and be available for a year. The first phase will be from March 24th through May 12th. After a break for summer, the pooja will resume in July..  


 

The event will be approximately 2 hours long and will be held on weekends. Below are the slots allocated.  

Friday        5:00p - 7:00p

Saturday   10:30a - 12:30p  & 5:30p - 7:30p

Sunday      10:30a - 12:30p  & 5:30p - 7:30p


You can invite as many as you want. 


4-5 volunteers that include Bhajan singers should be there to support the event.


Depending on availability, we designed the program in such a way that at least 4 singers are available for each pooja. If more singers are able to join, we will notify you of the total number a day prior.


Absolutely Yes! We recommend the host's involvement. You are inviting Baba to your house.

There is no fee associated with the pooja. All donations are voluntary. The goal of this program is to reach out to the community and spread the word about the temple and help in future plans, especially construction of the new temple.


Yes, we recommend distributing prasadam after pooja, but it’s up to the host to decide that. Please refrain from eating around the Pooja area.


Absolutely Yes! But we request that kids are managed and not to disturb the Pooja.


Yes, we will bring an audio system with mics and speakers which helps with the pooja process, Bhajans and Aarthi.


Below is a list of items that you should have for the Pooja. If you need help with the below listed items, please reach out to our volunteers at least 1 day before the Pooja.

  • Flowers 2 bunches - picked from stem
  • Fruits - 5 varieties on Plate
  • Coconuts -2
  • Garlands - 2 - for Baba Picture & Idol
  • Incense sticks - 1 pack
  • 2 Pairs of Lamps with wicks & sesame oil
  • Betel leaf - 11  
  • Betel nuts - 11 
  • Panchamrutham mix (small cup) - (milk, ghee, honey, yogurt, sugar)
  • Camphor - 1 pack
  • Sweet Kayseri prasadam
  • Turmeric & Kumkum
  • Akshata (Turmeric mixed in raw rice)
  • Sandal powder mix
  • Milk - ½ gallon
  • Paper towel
  • Panchapatra & Spoon
  • Plates - 3
  • Cups - 4
  • Trays - 2
  • Aachamana items (cup with spoon) 
  • Kumkum water Or Coconut with Camphor
