With all your generous donations and with the help of volunteer team, last Saturday we distributed more than 250 meals to local homeless shelter. Thank you all who participated. We are planning similar drives in coming months and we encourage everyone to be part of it for the community.
As part of our vision of giving back to community, we are starting food drive at Sai Dhyan Mandir from today to 12/31, end of the year. The food cans/boxes can be deposited into the collection bins inside the Temple.
Last year we collected around 1000 lbs of food and donated to local food banks. This year, we are working with HSS Arizona, SEWA DIWALI program and all local temples/organizations contributing to this great effort.
(Devotees can also participate in this food drive by making donations online or through Zelle to temple number: 4805121409, please message the temple number after your donation, so we can buy the food items on your behalf)
Below are the examples of some items:
->Canned Vegetables
->Canned Beans
->Canned Pasta
->Canned Soup
->Pasta boxes
->Cereal boxes
->Oatmeal
No Indian Food Items
In addition to above drive, once a month, we are planning to cook food at our Mandir and distribute to homeless people, starting 11/11, more details will be shared soon.
We welcome and thank you for the food donations.
Thanks to everyone who donated for Mandir’s holiday food drive that is conducted as part of our Back To Community program. With Baba’s blessings, we have raised 1007 LBs of food items in the past few weeks and we donated to local food bank where they distribute to needy people. Thank you for your generosity and support.
With Saibaba's blessings and Baba Devotees support, Mandir raised around $5750 as part of our second anniversary celebrations to support India's COVID relief effort. We selected four local organizations located at:
Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh
Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, Telangana
Provided relief in terms of Grocery kits for the people who needed at most. Each grocery kit costed approximately around 11 dollars , so approximately around 500 families were helped.
With Saibaba's blessings and Baba Devotees support, Mandir raised around 750 lbs of food during Dec 2020 as part of our holiday season to support local communities. We donated all food items to MidWest Food Bank.
